Blue Republicans Buck the Establishment

I am an independent who wanted to vote for Ron Paul in the primary elections. Unfortunately, I live in New York which has a deadline of October 14 to vote in the republican primary in April if you are already registered to another party. (If you are a new voter, you can still register to vote republican up until 3/30/12.)

I am concerned that other independents and democrats may find themselves in similar situations. This would be a real shame as crossover voters are a major asset to Ron Paul. As I understand the data from the Blue Republican and other web sites, the following states have deadlines coming up this month to register republican if they want to vote for Ron Paul.

Louisiana 12/12/11 The State web site states 2/22/12. Check with your local board.
S. Carolina 12/21/11
Iowa 12/23/11
Kentucky 12/31/11
Wyoming 12/31/11

I understand there is a lot of conflicting information out about deadlines to register, or even if you need to register, but it is better to be safe than sorry…

Let’s make sure people in these states get registered on time.
