I love how he laughs when talking about manipulation…how about sounding a little concerned Doug!

      • jeff_r0x

A laugh is a sign that you’ve been doing this long enough that you’re just not that surprised at the corruption anymore.

    • Violet

Doug Weed’s is a nervous laugh. I give him credit for fielding the questions however he can, and laughing appears to be an effective tool for him. But his laugh is tinged with a nervousness that seems to signal when the questions he is answering are getting close to the bone.

this interview was almost a replay of other doug wead interviews in terms of it being the best campaign he has been a apart of and to trust the good doctor. which of course is good advice.

      my only question is this:
i thought we got 5 states along time ago? did one of the states get taken away ie. Louisiana?
iowa, maine, nevada, colorado, minn, Louisiana ….why do we need Nebraska to get 5?

      • Mike Rosato

Louisiana is being contested with another Slate of Delegates that were chosen by the LAGOP Establishment who refused to acknowledge our slate. It is not in the bag and we will most likely not find out which delegation will be seated until is decided by the RNC just before the convention.

What happen to our Alaska and Oklahoma Delegates?

I don’t quite understand why he’s saying that the RP campaign needs Nebraska to have 5 states. We have all known that RP won more than 5 months ago. Is this sabotage from the inside?

      • Nunyabeesnutz

The campaign shouldve gotten rid of Doug Weed a long time ago. I dont like him, I dont trust him.

After reading all the comments and knowing Dougy Pudgy is a sellout, I cant even listen to his interview. I cant believe he is still in this position. Is Jessie Benton still around too? Amazing at the lapdogs driving thier cars today with Obama 2012 stickers. I about puked, You can guess who was driving them.

Why is this even on the Daily Paul site?

    • Ob27

nevada bound to romney so doesn’t count as i understood it.

    • IWG

Why does Wead find this situation amusing, laughing like a jackal? Why is he not defending Ron Paul supporters and demanding recognition publicly for this atrocity? His laughing is cover for his fear and inaction.

Ima have some Questions for Mr. Weed…

    • JCCIII

Doug Wead has and is doing an excellent job. He is considerate, dedicated, and intelligent, sharing all he is for the cause of liberty and love. This interview demonstrates the sincerity he carries within and the honesty he is willing to share with everyone. His is genuine.

Thanks for the platitudes Mr. Wead. I’ve supported Ron Paul since 2007 and never stopped supporting him since then. I kept my Meetup groups going and growing, knowing that this would be our time. I’m not a twenty something. I’m much older. I served my country, and I am very disappointed that the PTB of the GOP have pulled the shenanigans they did in so many states; Bones broken in LA, voting fraud and not following their own rules in Arizona; punching RP supporters and falsely adjourning the meeting when the establishment reaalized it could not win in OK. The recent events in Oregen, and in Mass?

WHY is the campaign not STOMPING the establishment with MAJOR LAWSUITS against this corruption?

      WHY are they playing dead?

      WHY?

      Answer my quesitons Mr. Wead!

WHO is this self described “operative” in regime change named Trigve Olsen?

      I smell a RAT!

I have been very active with the Paul movement since 2007. This year in Montana we tried to get the National Campaign to give us help (starting in Dec. 2011) and couldn’t even get our calls returned. At our state convention in June we had 47% of the delegate vote. That wasn’t enough to get any delegates to the national convention, but 51% would have. If we could have had a little help and guidance (we did everything on our own), we might have 20 more delegates for Dr. Paul and we would have been the 5th state. I think the national campaign with Tate and Bensen has been a disaster. The movement goes forward, but we definatly need to learn from this years experience. Doug Wead seemed to be doing damage control.

We had the same “problems” with the national campaign staff in Kansas as well. Just a little help, early on, would have put Ron Paul OVER the 20% thresh hold to have gotten SOME initial delegates by district, and we would have been in a far better position at the state “meeting” (not “convention” which was held months before the caucus) where the delegates were (pre) “selected.” Santorum took Kansas, based on one issue; Abortion. Ron Paul is now the only anti-abortionest still in the race. Yet the state GOP “decided” to back Romney, even though he lost to santorum, and Romney never even campaigned in our state. Basically, the “moral choice” (anti-abortion) of the Kansas electorite (for Santorum), has been discarded by the state GOP “leadership,” in order to support an Immoral (pro-abortion) candidate, in Romney.

I heard a similar story by an activist at state level on a radio show. According to him the efforts of the national campaign did not help them either this year, rather it confused and impeded with their work.

We need to recognize that Ron Paul is the most dangerous man the US establishment has ever faced, JFK was a mere nuisance in comparison since Ron Paul directly or indirectly challenges every major power center in US, not only the CIA and the Pentagon hawks as Kennedy did. To believe that the elite haven’t worked their hardest on every front to neutralize him is naive.

If the intelligence sources of the author Daniel Estulin is authentic, an inner circle of the Bush/Cheney administration had the intelligence evaluate the possible public reactions of “removing” Dr Paul in late 2007 having come to realize how dangerous he was. Bearing in mind that assassination by plane is a CIA classic, the plane incident of July 22 ’08 may suggest that they had decided to threaten Dr. Paul into shutting up, not being content with him only shutting down the 2008 campaign. The announcements made June 12 when suspending the campaign, that it were to transcend into Campaign For Liberty with the Rally For The Republic as kick off event on September 2 paralleling the Republican National Convention were combined with the continuous refusals to endorse McCain indeed no small expressions of political defiance.

Remembering the stories about the meetings of the patriot movement in the 90′s being attended to a comically large extent by undercover agents, do we really expect that they wouldn’t place as many of their own as close as possible to Dr Paul as early as they possibly could? No, without a doubt you have persons around Ron Paul today working for the other team. I would look closely to Jesse Benton who was a nobody with a girl friend when getting hired as Communications Director for the 2008 campaign but was firmly married to Dr Paul’s grand daughter already at August 22 ’08. Doug Wead the former insider convert needs to be scrutinized as well. He’s a likable guy I admit, but even George W Bush has such a side to him.

    • Lugolf

Doug is a different kind of guy in that he comes off as not too friendly in person but I am convinced that he is serious about helping our cause (Ron Paul policies) to be successful. It is up to each of us who claim to love America and her Creator granted freedoms to do the grunt work in each state.
Nebraska is ground zero, it sounds like to me, for a surprise in Tampa to be possible. Needless to say, freedom is worth the effort to finish this project in grand style. Isn’t freedom what we are fighting for? With a web site like mine, http://www.NoDictator.com, it is obvious that I am all in this time. My new radio drama taken from my book, A Statist Spy Tells All… America’s 100 Years of Debt, Deficits and Deceit, will air locally starting August 12, LORD willing. It will honor the political life and FED work of Ron Paul as well as the life given by Congressman Lawrence P. McDonald when he was murdered in 1983. It will clear up a lot of questions: who started the Progressive Movement in America, What is their end game, and Who might be leading the charge today. Can we do less than Paul and MacD? I say NO absolutely NO! We must do our very best with our personal calling.

Being Doug’s age myself and having played at politics (been played like a fiddle, I should say) for over forty years working for Republicans, my juices flowed like a rushing river this time around. Seeing young and old, rich and poor, meek and mild, mad and somewhat militant patriots all come together for one thing and one thing only… freedom… has been a trip I shall take to my grave. Shouting out in glory when I meet my Creator one day soon that it is not over till it is over, I say not on my watch. Slavery to the Money Moguls is not an option for the grandchildren. What do you say Nebraska? Virginia is in the fold with a majority of delegates being Ron Paul. Go Nebraska! Geterdone!
      Blessings, Frank E. Landrey

Why all the negativity guys? This is a pretty positive post but you can’t get past whatever it is you think of Doug Wead to hear the words “WE CAN NOMINATE RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT” ? If you want to help encourage people to be excited for Ron Paul, putting your own negative slant on the story won’t get it done. LET’S BE EXCITED AND POSITIVE BECAUSE THAT’S THE ONLY WAY TO GET OTHER’S EXCITED!
I am very excited about this opportunity and I hope that the NE establishment knows to do things fairly on Saturday because they will have the world watching them with a rule book.
